A Lively House Tour

Tom and Huck.

We miss our daily temple walks but Matt and I still have lunch dates while the kids have quiet time.

Thumbs up for the Wilderking trilogy.

We've finally made the johnny cakes the older boys have been asking for since Matt read Johnny Tremain to us. The youngest liked them so well he cried when the johnny cakes ran out. The boys also made hard tack which wasn’t supposed to be tasty- it’s survival food- but they wolfed it down and swore it was the most delicious food. I think books about military campaigns and explorers may have romanticized its image for them.

This boy always wants to make reading a social activity, even if it has to be quiet.

This artist has a fascination with color, pattern, and design.

Even when it was cold he would walk barefoot, in a t-shirt around the trailer.

We use less than a 18.9L jug of water a day!

I love the puppy paws on this boy!
